BPOVIA celebrates Year of Ox

January 23rd, 2009

niu2009 is the year of Ox which is the symbol of auspiciousness in China. We want to take a moment of Chinese New Year holiday to thank all BPOVIA clients for past and continuous support to us.

This year has been very exciting for BPOVIA. We are the first and only virtual assistant service provider in the world ever won the prestigious “Red Herring Global Top 100 Companies award” as well as “2008 Red Herring Asia 100 Most Promising Technology Companies” Awards.

The Spring Festival (the Lunar New Year) is the most important festival for Chinese people. During the festival, all family members gather together, just like Christmas in the West. People living away from home go back to the family before the Spring Festival which begins on the first day of the first lunar month, often one month later than the Gregorian calendar. It originated in the Shang Dynasty (c. 1600 BC-c. 1100 BC) from the people’s sacrifice to gods and ancestors at the end of an old year and the beginning of a new one. The most important days of the festival are Spring Festival Eve and the first three days.

From January 26 to January 30 will be national holidays in China. We will be back to office at Feb 1st.

We wish all our clients a very happy and prosperous Year of the Ox in 2009.
