Project Outline:
Xi’an is renowned for its glorious history and rich cultural heritage from the Tang Dynasty — itself well known for its tolerant and open society — with Daming Palace illustrating the dynasty’s economic and cultural prosperity as well as its architectural excellence.
In 2007, a national guideline for planning cultural development during the 11th Five-Year Plan period put forward the Daming Palace Great Heritage Preservation Demonstration Site project, an important part of the Silk Roads World Heritage nomination. Daming Palace National Heritage Park will integrate heritage preservation with improving the urban quality in an all-round way. Total landscaped area of the park is 3 square kilometers, bounded on the south by the northern red line of Ziqiang Road, on the north the palace wall, to the east by the western red line of Taihua Road and on the west by the eastern red line of Jianqiang Road.

Tender Procedures:
1. Eligibility: Certified grade A of landscape design and overseas companies must be recommended members of a national or industrial association or organization.
2. Application procedures: Pre-qualification documents and written application should be delivered in person, mailed or faxed before 18:00, December 6, 2008 (Beijing Time). Five tenderers will be selected and sent invitation to tenders December 8, 2008. After receipt of invitations, tenderers should submit their confirmation letter by December 10, 2008 and collect the “Tender Document of Daming Palace Great Heritage Site Preservation Demonstration Site (Daming Palace National Heritage Park) Landscape Schematic Design”.
3. Obtaining pre-qualification documents: Pre-qualification documents can be obtained by download from www.dmgyz.com, or at the office before 18:00 December 2, 2008 (Beijing Time).

1. Language: All correspondence and documents should be written in both Chinese and English. In the event of any discrepancy between Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
2. Laws, regulations and standards applied are those of the People’s Republic of China.
