Invitation for International Shopping
1. The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the Jilin Province Flood Management System Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Equipment of this Subproject.
2. CMC International Tendering Corp. (CITC), authorized by The Headquarter Office of Jilin Province Government Flood Control & Droughty Relief as the Procurement Agent, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the following goods for the Project:
Lot 1: Software purchase and development
Lot 2: Water regimes system
Lot 3: 4 Work station sub-centers
Lot 4: Construction of 34 data acquisition stations
3. A bidder can bid for each single lot or a combination of all the items.
4. International shopping will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s International Shopping Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the agency, and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below. The Bidding Document in the English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m./1:00 and 4:00 p.m. from May 19 to May 23, 2008 on the submission of a written application to the address and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Lot 1, RMB500 or US$75, Lot 2, RMB300 or US$45, Lot 3, 4, RMB 1,000 or US$145 for each lot. The method of payment will be in cash or check. The document will be sent by airmail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 9:00 a.m. on June 9, 2008. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 2% of the Bid price. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately after deadline of submission of bids in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
