The Government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) has received a loan from the French Development Agency (hereinafter called the AFD) in Euros towards the cost of the Luoyang-Zhangjiajie Electrification Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for the Signal Equipment.

CMC International Tendering Corporation (CITC), entrusted by Foreign Capital & Technical Import Centre of the Ministry of Railways, PRC, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the following Goods:

Bidding will be conducted through the internatioanal competitive bidding procedure specified by the AFD, and is open to all bidders from all the eligible source countries and regions.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at Room 603 of CMC International Tendering Corporation (CITC).

A margin of preference for eligible national bidders shall not be applied.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below between 9:00 and 11:00 / 14:00 and 16:00 (Beijing Time) from April 2, 2008 (except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of RMB2000 or USD300 for one set of bidding documents. For mail order, an extra postage of RMB200 (domestic) or USD30 (international) for courier services will be charged. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

Bids must be delivered to the address below before 10:00 am (Beijing Time) on April 22, 2008 and must be accompanied by a security of minimum 2% of bid price. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at Conference Room 415, Genertec Plaza, No. 90, Xisanhuan Zhonglu, Fengtai District, Beijing 100055 at 10:00 am (Beijing Time) on April 22, 2008.
