IFB Bid for Shanghai Urban Environment Project
INVITATION FOR BID
The Government of the People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development towards the cost of Rehabilitation of Western Trunk Sewer, Shanghai Urban Environment Project, APL2, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract WT10.1 – SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT AND CIVIL WORKS FOR PUMP STATION OF XINYUNZAOBANG. The contract includes: 1) Civil works for the pump station of Xinyunzaobang. 2) Supply, installation and commissioning of equipment for pump station of Xinyunzaobang.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders between 9:00 and 11:00 am/1:00 and 4:00 pm (Beijing time) from May 30, 2008 (except Saturday, Sunday and holidays), upon payment of a non-refundable fee of RMB2,000 or US$250. If being so requested at the time of application, the bidding document will be sent by express mail with an additional fee of RMB200.00 for within China, or RMB800.00 for outside China.
Bids must be delivered to the meeting room on the 2nd Floor, No. 683, Xiaomuqiao Road, Shanghai, P. R. China at or before 10:00 am, July 14, 2008. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the bid price in RMB or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the bid-opening meeting at the meeting room on the 2nd Floor, No. 683, Xiaomuqiao Road, Shanghai, P. R. China at 10:00 am, July 14, 2008.
