This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 650 of June 30, 2005 on-line and in DG Market.

The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of Fuzhou Nantai Island Peri-Urban Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Works for Construction of Fuzhou Kuiqi Bridge. Fuzhou Municipal Construction & Development Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Works for Construction of Fuzhou Kuiqi Bridge. The construction period is 30 months.

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at CNCCC International Tendering Co., Ltd. (address below) from 9:00 to 16:00 hours. A complete set of bidding documents in English and in Chinese may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMB3,000 or in USD450.
