As part of China’s efforts to push the development in the Yangtze River Delta and improve the economic integration, the longest cross-sea bridge in the world was opened to traffic on May 1st this year.

Hundreds of people participated in the opening ceremony and tens of thousands others gathered together on the banks of the bay performing dragon dances in traditional costumes to celebrate this event.

1. PRC has received a loan from the World Bank towards the cost of Zhejiang Urban Environment Project. It is intended that part of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for works (JNWW/C1) of Ningbo Jiangnan Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Summary: Ningbo JNWWTP (Capacity: 160k m3/d) adopts A2/O process to remove N & P. After treatment, effluent is discharged into the Yongjiang River; after being dewatered and dried, sludge is transported to a thermal power plant for incineration. Read more…
