On August 4, 2009, a Chinese senior labour officer said there were more than16.5 million people out of work. The unemployment situation in China, caused by the global crisis, was very serious.
Wang Yadong (deputy director of the employment promotion department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security) said the unemployment rate will remain below 4.6 percent this year. Read more…
