<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">1. The People’s</span><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US"> Republic of China has received a loan from <span id="more-1443"></span>the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Songhua River Flood Management (Sector) Project, of which Hanshu Sluice Works Subproject is a subproject and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">2. China Machinery &amp; Equipment Import&amp; Export Corporation (CMEC), the Procurement Agency authorized by Baicheng Construction and Supervision Office for ADB-loaned Songhua  River Flood preventing Project, invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of the following Goods:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">Lot</span><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US"> 01: Gate Equipment and Installation</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">Lot</span><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US"> 02: Hoist Equipment and Installation</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">Lot</span><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US"> 03: Electrical Equipment and Installation</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">Bidders may bid for one lot or any combination of lots.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">Baicheng Hanshu Gate Project is located in Baicheng city. The Baicheng Hanshu Gate Project includes 9 doors of Gate, 1 set of Headstock gear, and 8 sets of Fixed gate lifting hoist. More details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-stage: One Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from CMEC, and inspect the Bidding Document at the office address given below between <strong>8:30 a.m</strong>. &#8211; <strong>11:30 a.m.</strong> and <strong>1:30 p.m.</strong> &#8211; <strong>4:30 p.m.</strong> starting from <strong>4 December</strong>, <strong>2008</strong> (<strong>except weekends and holidays</strong>).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible Bidders should:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">(a) visit the office of CMEC at the address indicated below and pay a nonrefundable fee of</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">RMB2,000 or USD300 in cash, or</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">(b) request delivery by sending a written application to CMEC at the address indicated below. The application must include a cashier’s check, in favor of CMEC, of RMB2,500 for domestic delivery or USD350 for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by express airmail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">6. Bids must be delivered:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">* to the address: 6th Floor, Construction Building, No. 287 Guiyang Street, Changchun,  Jilin Province.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">* at or before 9:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 15 January 2009. Late Bids will be rejected.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">Bids will be opened immediately after the above deadline for submission in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total Bid Price.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">8. CMEC will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="Arial;" lang="EN-US">9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB’s Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.</span></p>

CMC International Tendering Corp., authorized by the Right Bank of Nen River Provincial Boundary Dike Project Construction Administration Bureau of Songliao Water Resources Commission, MWR, now invites sealed bids from all eligible Bidders for the supply of the following</span><span id="more-333"></span><span style="14pt;"> Goods and Services needed for Right Bank of Nen River Provincial Boundary Dike Subproject (Zhatailianfang to Banlashan) of Songhua River Flood Management Sector Project.
