Business Development Manager

Job Description

As the Business Development Manager, you'll have the unique opportunity to develop an emerging market of business with new partners as well as existing national insurance companies and agencies. Your influencing and sales skills will be put to good use when you interact with senior executives, both inside and outside of BPOVIA.

We're searching for someone who knows how to think critically and creatively to find new opportunities for incremental growth and profit. You'll use your sales skills to uncover each partner's unique needs and match those to BPOVIA's product benefits.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new national accounts
  • Leverage opportunities with existing National Accounts
  • Provide monthly reporting on all account strategies and results
  • Identify growth / profit trends by account and overall business

Job Requirements

  • Typically 8+ years business-to-business sales and marketing experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Insurance product knowledge/experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to present information to large groups
  • Demonstrated experience in building C-suite relationships
  • Strong sales skills - rapport building, discovery and closing techniques
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
