Sr. Software Engineer - C#, .NET, Active Directory

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative individual with very strong problem solving and communication skills. The candidate solves complex engineering problems by construction (in phases if necessary). They apply strong analytical skills to all aspects of product development, including functionality, scalability, packaging, distribution and maintainability.

They will utilize strong communication and persuasive skills in presenting to team members and product management new ideas or concepts to evolve the product. The candidate must be a good team player and is required to raise issues and concerns quickly. Proportionate emphasis is required on design, planning and implementation phases of software development.

Technically, the candidate must have strong system, Windows operating environment, design and implementation skills for enterprise software product development. The candidate is expected to have 6-8 years work experience; experience with UI design, .NET, SharePoint, Active Directory, database design, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL), BizTalk and other relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in C#, ASP.NET, Visual Basic.NET
  • Participate and contribute to design and architecture discussions
  • Understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications and development schedules
  • Apply standard development practices and improve the software development process
  • Interface with customers and partners to facilitate the technical integration in deployment scenarios
  • Provide guidance to customers deploying or integrating products into their environments
  • Deliver high-quality software products

Minimum required experience

  • Development experience in C#, ASP.NET, Visual Basic.NET
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
  • 5-10 years of industry experience with an emphasis on enterprise software development
  • Knowledge of UI design, Microsoft Windows development environments, and web-based applications
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, database design, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL), BizTalk and other enterprise application tools
  • Experience with analyzing, defining, designing, implementing, test evaluating and maintaining complex software systems
